This man lost a leg about 10 years ago in an accident. He was working as a stone cutter when a large boulder fell on his leg. He cannot afford to pay for the artificial leg.

He now cannot work and lives with his wife in Jayanthipura near Pollonaruwa.

The cost of an above the knee limb is Rs98,000 approx £270.  This is the cost of fitting limb and the training required after being fitted with the limb.
